Payment & Course Policy

Payment Policy:

  • Once a registration request is submitted, you are responsible for the full course fee.
  • There is no refund or credit for cancellation, or if you do not show up to your course.
  • Requests to transfer to a different date are subject to approval and an administrative charge as follows: $20 if the request is received at least four (4) business days prior to the course, $40 if the request is received later than four (4) business days prior to the course.

Absence due to illness:

  • Absence due to illness will be treated as a request to transfer to a different date, and subject to the administrative fee listed above.
  •  If you are not able to attend a course due to illness, you must request a transfer to a different date no later than the first business day after your scheduled course date.
  • As an additional precaution against transmission of colds and influenza, we will not allow you to attend a class if you exhibit signs of such illness.  You will be asked to request a transfer to a different date, subject to the administrative fee listed above.
  • The CPR course requires physical exertion.  Individuals with existing medical conditions such as pregnancy, bone, muscle, and joint conditions, and respiratory conditions, should consult a doctor prior to attendance.  We do not assume any risk or liability for injuries or illness that may result from course participation.  Please talk to your doctor and stay safe.

Course cancellation by Vital CPR:

  • Vital CPR reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule a course in the case of an emergency, or instructor illness.  In such an event, participants may choose either a full refund, or attend on another date.
  • Vital CPR will attempt to notify participants of any cancellations at least 48 hours prior to a course.
  • During winter months we will attempt to notify participants of any cancellations due to storm conditions, at least 24 hours prior to a course.

Course certification requirements:

  • Canadian Red Cross certification is provided at the successful completion of the course.  The certification cards are provided in class.
  • Participants are required to attend the entire class, and participation is mandatory.
  • Participants are evaluated based on their ability to perform the first aid and CPR skills during the course, in addition to a written multiple choice test.
  • Refunds are not provided for unsuccessful attempts. However, participants have the option of attending a make-up course free of charge...part of our 100% success policy.
